The MYP Physics Teacher will be responsible for guiding students aged 13–15 through a deep and conceptual understanding of physical sciences in alignment with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework. The teacher will design inquiry-driven lessons that connect theory to real-world applications and encourage critical thinking, investigation, and reflection. Through experimentation and collaboration, the teacher will help students appreciate how physics explains the natural world and drives innovation.

Plan and deliver concept-based, inquiry-driven Physics lessons aligned with MYP 4 objectives.

Integrate global contexts, Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, and interdisciplinary links into units.

Guide students in scientific investigations and data analysis using appropriate tools and methods.

Assess student work using MYP criteria and provide timely, constructive feedback.

Support students in developing conceptual understanding through reflection and application.

Maintain a safe and organized learning environment and ensure proper lab safety procedures.

Collaborate with the Science team to align assessment practices and ensure vertical curriculum coherence.

Engage in continuous professional learning and contribute to the school’s MYP development.

Requirements
Education
-
- A relevant bachelor’s degree. Engineering is preferred.
- CAT1 Certificate in Science is a plus
Experience
-

3+ Years experience teaching Physics at the secondary school level.
- 1+ Years experience teaching Science or Biology at the MYP
