When: Next academic year 2026/27
The MYP Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for building a strong foundation in mathematical thinking and understanding for students aged 11–14, in alignment with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework. The teacher will design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that encourage curiosity, logical reasoning, and real-world problem-solving, helping students see mathematics as a language for exploring patterns, relationships, and connections across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver concept-based Mathematics lessons aligned with the MYP 1–3 curriculum.

Foster inquiry and understanding through hands-on exploration, problem-solving, and collaboration.

Integrate Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills and global contexts to make mathematics meaningful and relevant.

Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs and pace.

Assess student learning using MYP criteria and provide clear, constructive feedback for growth.

Encourage a positive attitude toward mathematics and confidence in applying mathematical concepts.

Collaborate with the Mathematics and wider MYP team to ensure alignment across grade levels.

Participate in ongoing professional learning and contribute to the school’s MYP development.
Requirements
Education

- A relevant bachelor’s degree. Engineering is preferred.
- CAT1 Certificate in Science is a plus
Experience
-

3+ Years experience teaching Maths at the middle school level.
- 1+ Years experience teaching Maths at the MYP.

Skills and Abilities
- Deep understanding of MYP philosophy and assessment practices.
- Ability to design engaging, inquiry-led lessons that promote understanding, not memorization.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Skill in differentiating instruction and supporting conceptual learning.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital math tools.
