PYP Computing Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Computing Teacher to join our Primary Years Programme (PYP) team. The ideal candidate will foster students’ curiosity and confidence in digital learning through engaging, inquiry-based instruction that aligns with the IB PYP framework.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver age-appropriate computing lessons for students aged 5–11, integrating digital literacy, coding, and responsible technology use.

  • Use the IB PYP transdisciplinary approach to connect computing with units of inquiry.

  • Promote digital citizenship and online safety across the primary school.

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate technology meaningfully into learning experiences.

  • Support students in developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity through digital tools.

  • Contribute to school-wide technology initiatives and support staff development where appropriate.

  • Assess, document, and report on student progress using IB-aligned practices.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, or a related field (Teaching qualification required).

  • Experience teaching in a primary/elementary school setting.

  • Familiarity with or experience in the IB PYP is highly desirable.

  • Strong ICT skills and a passion for integrating technology into education.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
