Role Overview
We are seeking a MYP English (Language & Literature) Teaching Assistant to support the English department. This role serves as a development pathway toward becoming an MYP English teacher in the following academic year.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers during lessons and classroom activities
- Work with small groups or individual students to develop reading, writing, and analysis skills
- Assist with assessment correction under teacher guidance
- Update and manage content on the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Maintain academic records and paperwork
- Prepare teaching resources and support classroom organization
- Engage in learning the IB MYP framework and attend training sessions
Requirements
- Degree in Language Arts, English, or a related field (required)
- Fluent in English (required)
- Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills
- Organized, proactive, and willing to learn
Experience
- Teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, not required
